FedEx Express has launched FedEx Delivery Manager (FDM) in Thailand, an interactive e-commerce delivery solution that is free-of-charge and now available to Thailand-based customers. This offering is aimed to enhance customer convenience and demonstrates our continued commitment to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who are on the path to business recovery as they resume operations. In Thailand, SMEs form the backbone of the economy and are a primary source of employment for Thais, thus holding great potential to power economic growth.

FDM is a digital solution designed to help improve customer flexibility by providing alternative delivery options via a secure website. The introduction of FDM in Thailand aims to enable businesses here to increase first-delivery attempts, thereby enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction.

The 2018 Metapack Consumer Research found that upwards of 60 percent of shoppers say that a positive delivery experience incentivizes them to shop with a retailer again. Thus, improving a customer’s delivery experience will be a critical tool for e-commerce and online-based businesses that rely heavily on efficient and accurate logistics services.

The advantages of FDM for businesses are apparent considering that 30 percent of shoppers make changes to their delivery after it’s shipped, while 48 percent say they would’ve made changes if they knew they had the option . FDM helps address these issues, providing customers with alternative delivery options, including change of delivery address, hold at a location or rescheduled delivery.

In addition to introducing FDM to support SMEs, FedEx has also announced a range of special benefits for its Thailand-based corporate customers including offering a starting discount of 40 percent for new corporate FedEx accounts with complimentary FedEx premium items, and a range of shopping vouchers where customers can earn up to 2,000 THB.
