Bolloré Logistics Italy has provided an emergency shipment for one of the biggest American Pharmaceutical companies, successfully delivering, with air freight service, 25 tons of diabetes treatments to Shanghai (China). Our team has managed quickly the problem caused by the disruptions of ground handling operations at major Chinese airports, finding the solution for transport in 38 Opticooler RAP containers on the main deck of Boeing 747.

The operation’s success was gained thanks to the cooperation, speed and professionality of our team and the carrier chosen for the shipment, Air Bridge Cargo, that has quickly organized the charter from Milan Malpensa (Italy) to Shanghai (China). The urgency has characterized the shipment in one of the areas in the world that is suffering the greatest cancellations of flights due to the increase of the variant COVID-19 Delta with consequent ground handling failures.

The dedicated service, with all the operational procedures, was organized in three days. The temperature inside the Opticooler RAP containers has been kept between + 2 and + 8 degrees, ensuring the integrity of the goods, thanks to state-of-the-art technologies were used that allowed the remote monitoring of temperature variation and also equipped with data logger devices able to store data to alert any possible temperature deviation.

“It was the teamwork of Pharma division of Bolloré Logistics Florence that is highly qualified and prepared for this kind of situation. Our main feature is the proactivity in the services that we can guarantee. In addition, we have the possibility to create tailor-made solutions and, finally, our vision, which places the customer and his needs at the center of our work” – said Niccolò Romeo, Pharma & Healthcare Vertical Market Manager, Italy.
